PE and SPORTS PREMIUM

We welcome the Government’s commitment to continue the PE and Sport Premium, at £320 million for the academic year 2020/21 and that of the Department for Education who have authorised the rollover of any PE and Sport Premium funding that has not been used in the current academic year (2019/20), due to Covid-19, into the next academic year.

We know from communicating with our schools. that this announcement was much needed, especially when school budgets are already stretched to their limits. The ring-fenced funding for PE, School sport and Physical activity (PESSPA) means that children can continue to receive access to high quality opportunities at a time when they need it more than ever.

We strongly believe that the health and wellbeing of our children and young people should be central to school life. Not only will the extension of PE and Sport Premium support the physical wellbeing of our children, but also the social and emotional benefits that Sport and Physical Activity brings is critical for the next academic year and any recovery curriculum.

We fully support ukactive, who say that “fun, meaningful and inclusive physical activity should be a normal part of children’s daily school routines in order to provide a platform for lifelong participation – from the commute to and from school, engagement in high-quality PE lessons and varied extra-curricular programmes, to active breaks and physically active learning”

CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Primary school teachers are dedicated to giving their pupils the best possible learning experiences. We understand that there are only so many hours in a day and only so many pounds in a budget, which means there isn’t always access to extra, specialist PE training for teachers. That is where we come in.

We are fully trained in more than 20 different sports, 5 of which are unique to us in the North-East.

Our results are measurable and fully support schools with the changing OFSTE requirements and other national focuses around physical and mental wellbeing.

ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES

If you want to increase your enrichment provision, we can provide a cost-effective solution for your school, by organising and delivering extra-curricular sessions before school, after school and during lunch breaks.

MOVING MORNINGS

We have set up our Active Morning Clubs to give your child an active, sociable, and exciting start to their day, packed with games, sports and activities.

Our research shows that children who get active before school lessons are more focused and productive – so everybody wins!

LIVELY LUNCHTIMES

Our lunchtime activities are a great way to burn off energy and make new friends during the school day. We find that pupils head back into class refreshed and ready for the afternoon ahead.

AFTER-SCHOOL CLUBS

The school day is done… Not quite… this is the perfect way for children to build confidence, burn energy and learn new skills. Our after-school sessions feature a huge range of sports and games, from classic favourites to brand new experiences we are sure they will love.

For many of the activities we offer, our coaches can provide their own equipment and adapt the structure to your school’s facilities, saving you the need for any unnecessary investment.

CPD.

Our training is delivered by highly experienced tutors and coaches

The training is designed to enhance and develop the skills of the Teacher or Sports Coach when delivering Physical Wellness or Sport to Children aged 4-11 Years.

We offer a range of Qualifications and CPD that has been tried and tested by Our Own Ready… Go! (Sports) Ltd. Staff in preparation for deployment into Schools.

We believe in offering Practical and Theory Training/CPD that is designed for a realistic environment of working within a Primary School, with Children of all abilities in an area that can restricted dependent of facilities.
