FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The following information will provide you with everything you should wish to know about our programmes and events at all our venues.

Where does registration and collection take place?

Registration for Activities/Camp will be sign posted at the entrance to the Activities/Camp venue. We ask you to register within the time allocated to you prior to the pre-booked start time. It is essential that a parent/guardian signs in and signs out their child. Please inform the Coach/Camp Manager if another adult will collect your child or if you are collecting your child before the pre-booked pick-up time. This is important, as sign out is not available under normal circumstances until 15 minutes prior to pick up.

What happens if you late collecting up your child?

If you are likely to be delayed after the pre-booked collection time, please let us know to avoid unnecessary concern.

For every 15 minutes after the pre booked collection time, a charge will be incurred as explained online in our terms and condition.

What should my child bring?

We suggest that children dress in comfortable clothing that is appropriate to the activities and to the weather but please ensure your child has suitable footwear i.e., training shoes, etc. On our summer camps it is important that children bring sun cream and are aware of how to apply it as our staff are not authorised to do this for them. Alternatively, if children bring a spray on sun cream the staff will be able to help them. Children are encouraged to bring extra fluids i.e., water, juice etc. (No fizzy drinks allowed). All equipment is provided so there is no need to bring anything other than sun cream and any additional clothing.

Can I pre-book and pay on the day?

Our terms and conditions state that a payment must be made when making a booking. Bookings can be made online.

Are our coaches registered?

All Coaches/Camp Managers, who are qualified to a minimum of Level 2, will be supported by Level 1 coaches and youth workers. All our coaches have an enhanced CRB certificate, a First Aid certificate and gained a qualification in Safeguarding and Child Protection, Covid-19 Prevention Training.

What happens if my child has a medical condition?

If your child has a medical condition (e.g., diabetes, serious allergies, epilepsy, etc.) that we need to be aware of it is essential that you tell us prior to an Activity/Camp starting. At registration you must inform a member of staff about any medication that may be required, and you will also need to complete the Administering Medication Form.

What happens if my child has a food allergy?

Parents must advise us of any food allergies that their child/children have.

What happens if my child has an accident?

All accidents (e.g., bumps, grazes, and stings) will be dealt with by First Aid trained staff. At sign out please speak to the Coach/Camp Manager, as we require the Accident Report Form to be signed to ensure that you are informed of any incident that has occurred. If there has been a serious incident or your child has fallen ill, you be contacted as soon as possible.

What if my child behaves badly?

We aim to encourage and reward positive behaviour and deal with inappropriate behaviour firmly and fairly. Our activity/Camp Code of Behaviour will be on display at every Activity/Camp venue and staff will explain what is expected of the children in terms of behaviour. We will endeavour to deal with any minor behaviour problems as they arise, however in serious cases and persistent poor behaviour we will contact you.

Can I just turn up and pay without pre-booking?

Yes, we understand that you need flexibility every now and then, so we always ensure we have extra staff on hand to accommodate any walk on bookings. We would always recommend booking in advance if possible.

Can I book on to a multi session course if some sessions have already taken place?

Absolutely, simply book through our website as normal and at the payment stage you will only have to pay for the remaining sessions. If a booking is made on the same day that the activities/camps is taking place, please ensure that the school is aware.

Can I invite friends or relatives, children if they are unaware of the Activities/Camps?

Yes, if their parent or guardian will/have completed the booking process and the child is between the age of 7 and 13 years we would love to see children from all backgrounds attend our Activities/Camps.
